  5. Installation:

  7.         * Pkunzip the HTML.ZIP into your \winpack\extern directory
  8.        
  9.          Thats all there is to it, however I am presuming that you 
  10.          already have WINPSCAPE.INI set up correctly ??? Read the
  11.          WINPACK docs for more info on that .

  13. Purpose:
  14.         To allow WINPACK v6.2/NETSCAPE users a quick way to access your
  15.         HTML type PMS without having to browse for a HTM file to download  
  16.  
  17.         For example I have set up a page for each of the subdirectories 
  18.         of the PUB directory with links to each file allowing it to be
  19.         downloaded with a click on the link in NETSCAPE . Also I have a 
  20.         copy of my radio clubs homepage from the WWW available from link
  21.         (though it is minus the graphics) . All of the above pages have 
  22.         links to them from the file WELCOME.HTM

  24. Accessing The Server:
  25.  
  26.         * When a station connects they just type /HTML
  27.        
  28.        If it is their first use of the HTML facilities they will
  29.        be given notification of what is going to happen and short
  30.        details of the required setup for this to function . At this 
  31.        stage they can abandon things if they think their setup is 
  32.        not correct .
  33.        
  34.        If they choose to continue then their callsign is recorded in
  35.        HTML.USR and on future occasions they will not be issued the 
  36.        warning message .

  38. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------  SYSOPS Viewpoint:

  40.        The program when it runs looks for a file called WELCOME.HTM
  41.        in C:\WINPACK\EXTERN . This file will be the first page presented
  42.        to the user if it exists . if it does not exist then HTML.EXE
  43.        writes its own welcome page which contains a single ax25 link (/GET)
  44.        to a file called MAINPAGE.HTM which must be in C:\WINPACK\PUB\HTML

  47. KNOWN LIMITATIONS:
  48.  
  49.        The program will only work with the default locations for the files
  50.        These are:  
  51.                      HTML.EXE............C:\WINPACK\EXTERN
  52.                      WELCOME.HTM.........C:\WINPACK\EXTERN 
  53.                      MAINPAGE.HTM........C:\WINPACK\PUB\HTML
  54.        
  55.        Not sure about this due to lack of time to test but it seems to
  56.        lock some systems or fail to run under WIN 3.x . Operation is
  57.        fine under WIN95 and WIN NT . Would appreciate reports of success
  58.        or failure from WIN 3.x users .
